Polly Staniford
Polly Staniford is an award-winning producer, director and writer of over 10 short films that have screened in high profile film festivals all over the world including Venice, Berlin and Sundance. Crossbow, which she produced with Angie Fielder and award-winning director David Michôd, won an Australian Film Institute (AFI) Award and the Film Victoria Erwin Rado Award for Best Australian Short Film at the Melbourne International Film Festival. At the end of 2007 Polly wrote and directed Little Wings, which won Best Short Film at the Canberra Short Film Festival and screened at Short Film Corner (Festival de Cannes), Uppsala, Revelation Perth, LA Shorts and LUCAS International Children’s Film Festival in Germany among others. Her most recent short film, Netherland Dwarf, saw her reunited with Angie Fielder and David Michôd and has screened at both Sundance and Berlin. Polly is a graduate of the Victorian College of the Arts School of Film & TV in Melbourne. Since graduating, she has worked in many areas of the Film and Television industry. She joined Big and Little Films as part of the Film Victoria Producers Internship Scheme at the beginning of 2008 and now works 4 days a week as a Producer for the company.
