Ken Wells is 17, pretty, feminine, sharp tongued and tough. Ken is something of the local freak and he knows it. Kicked out of home after his father finds him dressed in his mother’s dress, singing Cilla Black’s “You’re My World”, Ken hitchhikes to Sydney and finds himself immersed in the world of Les Girls – a nightclub full of glamorous shows where all the showgirls are actually boys.
Part “Cabaret”, part “Priscilla”, “You’re My World” follows Ken’s transformation from young country misfit to the beautiful and exotic Kimmie as he first loses, then finds him/herself.
